Best Mac Poker Sites for Americans
If you are an American player using a Mac, there are 2 great options for you as far as online poker rooms go.
Full Tilt Poker and Pokerstars both have Mac poker software that is reputable and reliable. Full Tilt has had their Mac software running for several years now. Pokerstars implemented their Mac poker software just a few years after Full Tilt.
This certainly doesn’t mean that Pokerstars has faulty software. I wouldn’t recommend them if they did. They just haven’t had as much time to make improvements and add extra features. Even when just considering the quality of the downloadable PC versions that these two poker sites offer, I believe that Full Tilt Poker is a few steps ahead of Pokerstars. Mac Poker Sites for Europeans
For European players using Macs, and for that matter… much of the world outside of the US, there are a few more internet poker rooms available to you including those listed above. I suggest that you check out some of the poker skins that are available on the Ongame Network. This includes www.pokerroom.com and many of the other sites that are no longer available to Americans.
The Ongame Network offers a no-download version of their software that runs on javascript. They are also one of the most established poker networks around and they have been in business for several years.
Mac Poker for Everyone
The whole point of this last section is to tell you where not to play internet poker. I’ve noticed that Absolute Poker and Ultimate Bet have been working on a software option that is available for Mac users. I suppose this advice holds true for all poker players, regardless of whether they are using a Mac or PC and no matter what country they live in. In my opinion nobody should be playing on these two sites at all.

If you don’t feel like taking the time to do the research, you can just take my word for it. These rooms are shady. The other sites that are available to Mac poker players are much more trustworthy and much more reliable.

Download the Mac poker programs for both Full Tilt and Pokerstars. Both of these are recomended Mac downloads and I play on both of these poker sites more than any other poker rooms.

Why is there a .com and a .net version of each poker site? The .net version is created so that the sites can advertise on american television networks. The networks won’t allow gambling websites to advertise on their stations, so the .net versions were created which are only play money sites so they are able to advertise on televisionn.
