Pokerstars and Big Edge Updates
I woke up this morning to see how many people had registered so far in Pokerstars’ attempt at the Guinness World Record. To my surprise, the tournament has already filled up…and then some.
There was supposed to be a cap of 35,000 entrants into the tournament, but right now it is at about 35,070 and it’s still climbing. Maybe this was just another mistake on their part and they forgot to program the cap into the their software for this tournament. It certainly wouldn’t surprise me since this is the first time they have used a tournament structure of this size.
Just for the record, from start to finish, it took me about 1/2
hour to write this blog entry and get it published. In that time,
Pokerstars’ Guinness World Record tournament gained about another 40
entrants, so if you haven’t signed up yet you should head over there ASAP to get registered.
I also just noticed that Pokerstars is hosting 10K person sit ‘n go tournaments this week. They are $1 buy-ins with $10,000 added to the prize pool…for all you microstakes grinders out there.
Now onto other things; It was a busy December at Big Edge. My apologies, since my posts were mostly just youtube videos. I’m getting ready to move the main area of the site over to a new template. Some of you may not have even been aware…there is another area to our website other than the poker blog. Our main domain hosts our Internet Poker Guide, Rakeback Guide, Poker Room Reviews, Bonus Codes and much more. You can even find archived interviews with some of the world’s best poker players in our poker guide.
There are a few other new editions on the way as well, so be sure to subscribe to the blog if you haven’t done so yet.
