More Exotic Gambling Vacation Spots
When most people think of Nepal they think of sherpas, prayer flags and Mt. Everest. What most people don’t know, is that Kathmandu is also home to several casinos. The biggest casinos are Casino Everest, Casino Anna, and Casino Nepal. All of their websites suck, so don’t bother looking. But I can assure you that these places exist.
They spread most of the same games that you can find in the United States like Baccarat and Blackjack. From what I’ve read, the local population has basically been banned from all of the casinos. I guess it’s safe to say these casinos have a very tourist-like feel to them.
As I mentioned in my last blog about gambling vacation spots, Asia is an emerging market in the gaming industry. Although Kathmandu is nothing like Macau when it comes to gambling, it’s a sign that the asian market is getting stronger.
I know a lot of people already know about Atlantis, but this is one of my favorite gambling vacation spots so I have to throw it in here.
I suggest that anyone who is looking for a nice vacation to paradise heads down to Atlantis for a few days. The gambling isn’t as rampant as someplace like Las Vegas, but there is still plenty of action during peak casino hours.
The Palm, Dubai
In addition to Paradise Island, there is an Atlantis Resort in Dubai. Like everything else in Dubai…this resort is brand new and it is top-notch. Sorry, no gambling here, but it’s a pretty sweet vacation spot so it squeezed it’s way onto my list.
This place just opened in September and it’s supposed to be just as nice as the resort on Paradise Island. The photos below are from earlier this year while it was still under construction. Just like you would expect from a place like this in Dubai, everything is very nice, but very expensive.
For those of you who don’t know…Dubai is quickly gaining the
reputation as the place to be if you are a billionaire. They have
constructed this entire seashell shaped land mass referred to as The Palm. The Atlantis Resort is located on the outer most part of the formation.
I
think this area is also home to the worlds only 6 star hotel; the Burj Al Arab. I also posted a photo of this place towards the bottom of the page. It’s the one that looks like a giant sailboat. They have to employ a resident hawk just to keep the seagulls from sh@#ing all over it.

Above is the Burj Al Arab, one of the worlds
finest hotels.
