Juiciest Poker Tournament Ever

I just got an email from Pokerstars ranting about an upcoming tournament that they are going to hold. It occurred to me that this might be one of the juiciest online poker tournaments that has ever been held.

This is going to be a $4 million dollar guaranteed tournament with $1 million dollars guaranteed for the winner. Im not sure there has ever been a $215 buy-in tournament that paid $1 million to the first place prize winner. There have been larger first place payouts before, and there have certainly been larger numbers of entrants and guaranteed prize pools. But as far as the potential money that you could win compared to your buy-in, this is a tournament that you cannot miss.

There is almost certain to be a huge overlay in the prize pool money here. By this I mean that the players will not collectively be putting $4 million into the prize pool, so the poker site will have to make up the difference… in this case, it may be a huge difference of more than a million dollars.
