No Starting Chips For You!!!
Saturday, July 18th, 2009 by Phil
I have a little rule around the blog here that I learned from Matt Cutts. If you are ever mad when you are writing a blog entry or you are bitching or giving someone a hard time… write it and then wait a day to publish it. Almost every time that I do this, I wind up toning things down, changing words or just not even publishing the entry.
This has served me well over the last year. For example, this blog entry you are reading now was going to be called: Hey Full Tilt… F@#k You Pal. I was steaming after I accidentally bought into a 300 starting chip tournament with the last of my Full Tilt money.
I think that the 300 starting chip tournaments are the stupidest thing that Full Tilt Poker has ever come up with. It’s not just the idiotic structure of the tournament that pisses me off, it’s the fact that they are poorly labeled and I keep getting tricked into signing up for these stupid tournaments.

If you are glancing over the tournament lobby, you will see that these “Super Turbos” use the same red icon to denote their structure as the regular turbo tournaments. This is just terrible if you ask me and Full Tilt needs to make a new icon for these tournaments or just get rid of them in altogether. I usually notice that these have no starting chips before I sign up, but if the SNG is almost full or the MTT is about to start, I usually fly through the registration process without reading details.
I am still working on the main domain area of the website a lot. It has come a long way and I’m starting to get some good content written over there.
