Redbet Poker Review
Not a whole lot of people are familiar with Redbet Poker, but do not let that scare you away; it may just be the best poker room you have never heard about. Redbet Poker was founded in May 2002, but did not go online for over two years, in August 2004. Redbet claims to have used this time to perfect its software, and it seems to have worked.
Redbet Poker Deposit Bonus
You would be hard pressed to find a better initial deposit bonus than the 200 % match up to $1,000 offered by Redbet Poker. Furthermore, Redbet Poker has two poker rooms available, Entraction and Boss Media, and you can receive the deposit bonus at both. In other words, by depositing at least $500 on each site you will receive $2,000 for free.
As with most poker room bonuses, you must clear the bonus by playing in real money tournaments or cash games. The bonus will be credited to your account in $5 increments for every 50 VIP Points you earn. This works out to be about $5 for every $25 that you contribute in rake. The bonus does expire after 60 days though, so make certain to play often enough that you can earn all of your free money.
Redbet Poker also offers occasional reload bonuses to its players. The most recent reload bonus was the Valentine Reload Bonus, which offered a 200 % match up to $200. This is fairly typical of reload bonuses at Redbet Poker, which tend to be rather generous. Unfortunately they only come around a few times per year, so take advantage of them when you have the chance.
In addition to the deposit bonuses, Redbet Poker also offers a Refer a Friend bonus. Every time you invite a friend who makes a real money deposit, you will receive $15. While this is quite a bit smaller than other poker sites, the deposit bonuses more than make up for it.
Redbet Poker Rewards Program
Redbet Poker has a rewards program known as the Monthly VIP Bonus. Redbet Poker awards VIP Points to its players for playing in real money games. The number of points you earn determines your VIP Level, which in turn determines how much extra money you can receive. Unfortunately, the VIP program is only available for those playing on the Entraction software. Currently there is no rewards program for the Boss Media poker room.
The Monthly VIP Bonus at Redbet Poker is nice, but it is far from the most extensive rewards program out there. Many other programs allow you to purchase tournament tickets and various other items in a rewards store. While these options do not necessarily increase the value of the poker room, they do make for a more exciting poker experience.
Redbet Poker Games Available
Redbet Poker offers a nice variety of the most popular games combined with the more obscure ones. The games available include:
- Texas holdem
- Omaha
- Omaha hi lo
- 5 card stud
- 7 card stud
- Caribbean stud poker
- 5 card draw
- 32 card draw
- 2 to 7 three card draw
- Soko
- Telesina
Redbet Poker Progressive Jackpots
Everybody loves a good jackpot. The chance to win a ton of money in the blink of an eye is what keeps millions of people playing the lottery, and it is also what makes progressive jackpots in online poker so exciting.
Redbet Poker only offers one jackpot, but it is hard to complain about such a generous prize pool. The Bad Beat Jackpot is awarded when any player at the designated Bad Beat Jackpot tables loses with four tens or better. The most recent jackpot awarded was over $270,000, which was distributed to the ten players at the table.
The Bad Beat Jackpot is distributed as follows:
- 70 % to the players
- 20 % to the next jackpot
- 10 % to Redbet Poker
Approximately 50 % of the 70 % designated for the players goes to the loser of the hand. The winner of the hand receives 25 %, and the remained 25 % is divided equally among the rest of the players dealt into the hand. In order for a hand to qualify for the Bad Beat Jackpot, at least four players must be dealt in and the hand must go to showdown.
Redbet Poker Stakes and Limits
Redbet Poker has a nice selection of stakes, which means that players with any size of bankroll can play here. The lowest levels start at $0.01/$0.02 and top out at $200/$400. Plenty of games run at the micro and low levels, but as you move up to the middle and high stakes games start to become scarce. This is due to the fact that Redbet is a less popular site as well as the fact that all American players are excluded.
Redbet Poker Tournaments
Redbet Poker offers several poker tournaments types, such as:
- Multi table tournaments
- Sit & gos
- Rebuy tournaments
- Freerolls
- Satellites
- Guaranteed tournaments
- Bounty tournaments
One of the biggest tournaments at Redbet Poker is the $75,000 Guaranteed Head Hunter. This tournament runs on the first Sunday of every month at 7:00 PM GMT at the Boss Media room. The $75,000 GTD Head Hunter has a $160 buy in and awards a bounty for each player knocked out.
At Redbet Poker, you also have the option to play in the Redbet Grand Slam. With a $5 buy in and $500 added, this tournament is a great value and runs on a monthly basis. Freeroll satellites run daily for this tournament as well, so you may not even have to spend your own money.
Redbet Poker features a few different tournament series, such as the Monthly Championships of Poker on the Boss Media platform and the Redbet Series of Poker on Entraction. The Monthly Championships of Poker (MCoP) consists of 8 tournaments over 8 days each month with $800,000 in guaranteed prizes. All players who reach multiple final tables in the MCoP receive additional prizes. The Redbet Series of Poker (RSoP) offers 7 tournaments with $7,000 added.
Sit N Go players can get in on the action as well. The Redbet Entraction poker room has a monthly SNG Leaderboard with prizes of $30,000 to the top twenty players in each of the low, medium, and high buy in divisions. The number of leaderboard points you receive depends on your final place and the number of players in the tournament.
While it seems that Redbet has a lot of tournament promotions, the number of daily tournament is on the small side. As a smaller poker site, Redbet does not have the demand or the money to run a full tournament schedule every day. Players who want to focus solely on tournaments may be better off at a site like Pokerstars, but for those who only wish to play an occasional tournament Redbet is perfectly fine.
Redbet Poker Freerolls
Redbet Poker offers quite a few freerolls to its players. Both the Boss Media and Entraction versions of the software have a $2,500 first time depositor freeroll once a month. The Boss Media poker room has another $1,000 new player freeroll as well, which runs every night.
The Boss Media room also has a Loyalty Freeroll. Players who have participated in at least 1,000 real money hands in the last 30 days are eligible to play in this tournament, with $8,000 up for grabs. This freeroll takes place on the last Tuesday of every month at 6:00 PM GMT.
The Redbet Entraction poker room also has its own VIP freerolls, which requires VIP points in place of a buy in. These tournaments run eight times per month, with a prize pool that varies from month to month. In April, each freeroll rewards the winner with a $2,000 package to EMOP Bulgaria, which includes tournament buy in, travel, and hotel accommodations. The buy in for these tournaments ranges from 1 to 800 VIP Points.
Redbet Poker Double or Nothing Tournaments
Redbet Poker is one of the few online rooms where you can still find Double or Nothing tournaments. Double or Nothing Sit & gos, or DONs, are tournaments which reward the top half of the player pool with double their buy in, while the rest get nothing. Many poker sites have found these games to be particularly susceptible to collusion and difficult to police. Therefore, these games have become tough to beat at all but the lowest levels.
Redbet Poker Special Events
Redbet Poker offers its players opportunities to win packages to major large tournaments, such as the World Series of Poker, from time to time. Currently daily tournaments are running with a chance to win a $5,000 package to the Irish Open, complete with the tournament buy in and travel arrangements. As previously mentioned, Redbet Poker also has freerolls that award a $2,000 EMOP Bulgaria package.
The Rake at Redbet Poker
The rake at Redbet Poker is approximately 5% of the pot, which has become the standard in the online poker business. Only hands that reach the flop are raked, as per the “No Flop, No Drop” policy of most poker rooms. Luckily for poker players, up to 45% rakeback is available at Redbet Poker.
Casino Games at Redbet Poker
The Redbet Casino is a nice change of pace for poker players who need a break from their main game. The casino has a nice variety of games to choose from, such as slots, table games, and video poker. The Redbet Casino also has its own promotions, including a 100% deposit bonus. Redbet also owns a sports book, which is available, online.
Redbet Poker Deposit Methods

Redbet Poker Software
One of the most important parts of online poker is the software. The Redbet Poker software is very reliable and easy to use. The poker client is available for download in both Mac and PC versions, so everyone can join in the fun. Redbet Poker also allows you to log in and play through your web browser, although this is a bit slower than the downloadable version.
Redbet Poker Customer Service
The customer service at Redbet Poker appears to be more than sufficient. The main website has an extensive FAQ which can be used to answer most questions. If the FAQ is not enough, however, customer service can be reached via email, telephone, or fax. All email inquiries are guaranteed to be answered within 24 hours, while the telephone option can be used for a more immediate response.
Redbet Poker and the Boss Media and Entraction Networks
Redbet Poker offers poker clients on two different networks, Boss Media and Entraction. As a part of two networks, Redbet Poker players have access to more options and promotions than most. The Boss Media network is slightly more popular than Entraction, but Redbet definitely seems to benefit from both.
